Gillespie, acquired by the Group in 2022, continues to deliver outstanding craftsmanship and innovation in architectural design. One of their standout projects includes the stunning Café Laperouse at The OWO in London, developed in collaboration with DaeWha Kang Design. This opportunity followed a series of high-profile projects and reflects Gillespie’s proven expertise in delivering complex 3D designs using GRG (Glass Reinforced Gypsum).

The bespoke panels for the project were crafted using advanced BIM technology and CNC machining to produce precise patterns and moulds for off-site factory production. This approach ensured exceptional finish quality, tighter tolerances, and a seamless final appearance. Gillespie’s Zerodec solution – lightweight, durable, fire tested to BS standards, and achieving Gold standard for VOC – was key to the project’s success. The result is a sophisticated GRG installation that brings a sense of elegance and Parisian chic feel to Café Laperouse.
