You’ve been with Errigal for 15 years. What’s been the most memorable moment so far?

One standout moment in my career was completing FRA12 in Frankfurt, a project that truly tested our resilience, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under immense pressure. With tight deadlines and unexpected challenges arising throughout the process, it was a demanding experience that pushed us to think on our feet and adapt quickly. What made it even more rewarding was seeing everything come together seamlessly in the end—a testament to teamwork, determination, and the shared commitment to excellence. That feeling of accomplishment, knowing that our hard work had paid off, made it an unforgettable experience.

What sparked your interest in a career in construction?

My passion for construction has been ingrained in me from a young age. As a child, I was fascinated by building things and how things worked. I enjoyed the process of turning ideas into tangible results, and that enthusiasm stayed with me over the years. My love for numbers and problem-solving made construction a natural fit, allowing me to apply analytical thinking and creativity to real-world challenges. Seeing a vision come to life—knowing that every detail, every calculation, and every effort contributes to creating something enduring—has always been deeply fulfilling for me.

What has been your proudest achievement so far?

One of my proudest accomplishments has been playing a role in Errigal’s successful expansion across 12 European countries, including Belgium, Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. The opportunity to contribute to a company that consistently delivers excellence across borders has been incredibly rewarding. Watching our team grow, innovate, and tackle complex projects in diverse locations has reinforced the importance of collaboration, adaptability, and maintaining high standards. This achievement reflects not only the company’s progress but also the dedication and expertise of the incredible people I work alongside every day.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?
What truly drives me is the dynamic nature of the construction industry—no two projects are the same, and every challenge presents an opportunity to learn and grow. Working on diverse projects across Ireland, the UK, and Europe has exposed me to different perspectives, techniques, and industry standards, keeping me engaged and continuously evolving. I find inspiration in collaborating with skilled professionals, leading a team of resourceful and dedicated individuals, and tackling complex problems head-on. Seeing the tangible results of our efforts—whether it’s a completed structure, a satisfied client, or an innovative solution that pushes boundaries—makes all the hard work worthwhile and fuels my motivation to keep striving for excellence.
